Maybe a Stupid Question - Masking and Selection

hi,

when i divide a part of the mesh and i later unhide the whole object, i see the subdivided part of the object in different color.

my question is, when i want to translate the part later, how can i select the part of the mesh i have divided earlyer?

i think there must be a way?.
the polys have a different color and there should be a way to select them.

sorry for my english i hope you understand what i means. :)

CTR+Shift and click on the group color you want to select.

It'll keep that part of the mesh visible and hide the rest.
