This is my first attempt at modeling in Z2. I'm not finished but I thought I would post it to get some feedback.

looks pretty dang kewl so far...question...Did you use a base mesh from poser or something? Or is this built from scratch in zbrush. Just curious...at any rate, that is some fine modeling. Looking forward to seeing the whole model.

Ron Harris, Thanks for the nice words. I modeled the base mesh in 3DSMAX. All quads... well mostly :) Then I imported it into Zbrush where I did a little tweaking with the base mesh. After that I just divided the mesh a few times and started pushing and pulling.

Very cool... It's really well done. The anatomy looks great! Did you use any reference for the muscle deformation? How detailed do you plan on taking it??

BazC: Thanks for the compliment

innercircus: Thanks. I always have an open anatomy book on my desk. As for the detailing I plan on taking as far as my attention span can handle.

The model looks hella tight....I especially like the 2nd screen capture of his arms. How many hours did you log in on this character so far? Looking forward to seeing the completed model.

excellent modelling of muscles. look forward to your finishing of the arms and perhaps hopefully texturing him and perhaps your attention span will allow a finished body as well.

again great modelling!

StarvinhRtist: I think I spent about 4 hours on the base mesh in Max. Making sure it was all (at least mostly) quads was a pain. Once I got it into Zbrush I think it has been about another 4 hours. I didn't work on it straight though. Mostly just been picking at it here and there.

JOHNVQ3: Thanks, they were actually the hardest part so far.

aminuts: I'm pretty excited about finishing up all the details, but I never intended to do the lower half. I started down this path because I was trying to make a clean (all quad) base figure as a starting point, so whenever I wanted to zbrush a human male I could just load up a model that I knew I wouldn't get any artifacts when I divided the mesh. I got this idea from Skycastle's post (thanks if your reading this skycastle). So the reason why I only have the top half is that I got impatient and didn't want to spend any more time in Max.
I never thought about texturing it, that's a good idea.
Thanks again!
