Two version of a background scene.

One was an "accidental glitch" (the blue version) But it does intrigue me. I hopefully can figure out what Z did to produce this, and then reproduce it. (crossing fingers).

So, which route would you follow to the last render/production?

A very difficult question. I like the clarity of the first image; it kind of reminds me of Modigliani :)
But the, the second one has this nice surrealistic effect, which changes the whole feel. Overall I think I like the first one because the background metallic effect in the second one seems to flatten the colour (sorry...! Canadian spelling!) values.
But: I do like them both! :D :D :D

I'm partial to the first one myself. The prevailing grey tones seem to fit the mood of the image well and the blue one negates the subtle depth-of-field effect which exists in the grey one.

Looking forward to the final render.

I like them both, but I really love the first one. It's so cool! Makes me wonder what you dream about :D I don't want to start a gender issue here, but it's so cool to see a woman create the types of images you do, images that have been generally created by men. I love this stuff! Martha Stewart you are not, and that is a "Good Thing"! :)

Hee hee. Thanks Stacey.

I appreciate those comments. It means alot. And as much as I hate to make it a gender thing myself, it is sometimes. (Gamers think the chic on my website is a fantasy chic, and NOT me. They think I'm a guy till they get to the contact page...funny.)

Martha Stewart!?!?!? Gack!
My bathtowels DO NOT MATCH each other let alone the bathmat. HAHAHAHAHA!

My best friend is Betty Crocker though. BWAHAHAHAHAHA!

Cook? Oh,I make GREAT reservations. BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Stone and Winged, thanks for the imput. I was thinking the same things. :D

Thanks Kaz!

I guess I'm a freak, because I like the second one the best. There's a non-threatening creepiness to it that I like, and it has more of a cavelike quality thanks to the way the black cuts in.

Both are way cool. I'm assuming that this is for your website? Go with the one the projects the feel that coincides with what the page is about.

Therein lies the quandry, aurick.

Yes, it is for the animation project. But to this point it has no home. I just really liked the sketch I did one day.

I'll probably use both of them for a day/evening type of timing event.

Thanks for thoughts and good word.

Kathy, for all the reasons mentioned (depth of field, tonal quality, etc.) I like the first one. Overall though, I really like the image. It...umm...looks like a Tim Burton take on the opening scene of "Look Who's Talking."

Adman,

I had to look and look, (and drag out a VHS and watch that opening scene I had forgotten about)...HA!!

I think you are right! And if you add your insight to Stacey's question about what I dream about...well....I think I need therapy!
;) :D

Hi Kat . . . :)

Your asking a very difficult question! It's like asking which flavor ice-cream I like the best, Chocolate or Strawberry, & I love both of them the same. :D

I have to admit though, like Aurick, I find the 2nd image very mysterious in it's own way. But heck.....everything you do with any graphics software, turns out to be a wonderful "Masterpiece"!!! ;)

Have a good one & keep it up girl! . . . Mark.

Hmmmmmm...

I like them both. I can't decide between one or the other. ;)

They are both great!
