ZBrush is a modeling/texturing/painting/rendering program. Rather than being an animation package, it offers a variety of features that enhance an animator's work flow. In addition, it stands on its own as a tool for illustrators.

While Z2 does not have animation features, Pixolator will eventually be releasing a ZScript that makes it possible to do some simple animating (such as creating a walk cycle). An early version of the script was used to create the test scene posted here (http://www.pixolator.com/zbc-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=011231).
