Just a quick question, how do you get rid of the jaggy edges on the model when you render???

The materials all look cool but the edges of the model look awful, I've fiddled with the AA but it doesn't effect the edges, just the material.

Cheers guys

Start your document out at a double size and hit Ctrl 0 (zero) this will AA and knock it down to half size and smooth it alot.

Another option is the "smooth" in the Transform when in edit mode...

If baking the image for adding hair...you can take the "blur" tool brush and ease up some of the roughness.

A more dense mesh on your model will give it a smoother appearance.

Many of the works that I enjoy viewing here are so smooth, but they are working with polygon counts that my computer and RAM cannot handle.

I know there are other ways to get a smoother look and am sure others will chime in to help out, but these came to mind to me first.

The model is about 2 million polys so I dont think its that, but i'll give your other ideas a try. It only seems to be the edges of the model though.

Cheers ;)

Are you getting a little white outline on the model after rendering?

I have gotten that some as others have too...and I am not sure if that anomoly (sp?) is caused from material settings and or light settings...that is if that might be what you are getting...hmm other than that I dunno....

If you do find an answer I would love to hear it, because if you are having that problem then the chances are others are having it to and just havent said anything about it.

Keep us posted
