View Full Version : Chick Chik!!
hi!
check out my second pushing and pulling exercise. I wanna concentrate on modeling for the next month before moving to texturing...but still love to see some basic colors. Is it the right way to begin?
I love cartoons...is there a good site that shows how to model them in Max or Zbrush? I am interested in kids stuff...
thankx

a :tu: :tu: :tu: squeaker, Dax! i love the way you did the beak.
as for a max-site: i dont know. as for zbrush: this is the right place, though i dont know which cartoon-threads to recommend to you. my suggestions: go to the search button on top of every page at zbc and look for cartoon. a plethora of threads will show up. more specified: do a member search for theSaint (#321), he is a true master and check out his beauties, same for leDiscot (#264), loads of great tips included! EdtheAtom has posted some incredible tools, check them out at Digits: http://www.cyber-webs.com/zbrush/AtomArt.htm and again use the searchfunction to hunt down a zscript that he might have recorded of one of his sessions. dont miss the next post of upham (sorry, very bad connection right now, its aweful to find his last post), his signature comes with a lot of great links, one of the most valueable being his newbie-lessons. last but not least: check out the toon-shader material (not a default material but sitting in your materialfolder), you should love it!
keep them toonies coming!

Hi Dax,
It looks like you're off to a good start!
Try the new user section of QuickLinks for some information that will help you to get started. You'll also be able to find other modeling tutorials in QuickLinks.
Have fun ZBrushing!
