Yes zombies read too... :) and they like to hand off the morning tabloids to their rotting buddies as well.
Well I played around a bit and wanted a newspaper for an upcoming image I have in my head....so I played with a mock up here...
1. I made the image on the right of the cover of a fake newspaper in PsP aka Paintshop Pro.
2. I imported the texture into zbrush onto a 3d plane and sized the plane to fit my basic newspaper size.
3. I then went into the deformations>initialize and upped the mesh density of the plane so it would be smoother looking and hold the texture.
4. While in edit mode I first drew a few Zsub lines to give some vertical folds in the paper...this distorts the texture..no problem....I then push and pulled on it to get the shape I wanted.
5. I reimport the same texture again and notice the texuture went back to normal but you have all the nice little lines and crinkles. I am sure you can tweak it more if needed with all the new bells and whistles with z2.
6. I also rotated the paper after snapshooting it into place...gave it a bit more depth..
I dont think I left anything out but it was kinda fun to play with before hittin the sack...Had made the new hand tool earlier tonight and the body model is a recent zombie from the homage I paid to one of the members on the forum. No biggy..just thought it might interest some of the newer members.
goodnight..(well the sun is coming up so I guess its good morning)
