They say old boxers never die.....they just get d@mn ugly!!

A little play time from last night while I slaved away on a 200+ slide presentation for work. It was created from a low poly adaptive skin. I am finding that now that I have been learning C4D and Lightwave that I am paying more attention to such things as edge loops. It makes a difference in how I manipulate the mesh. I feel it has given me a better understanding of how to improve my ZBrush modeling.

OMG Lonnie!
This is an amazing model.
The modeling is definately a step up from your already kickass, high-end look...wow!
I am doing an internet search on edge loops as I type!
Would love to see a poly shot if possible!

I like this one.

I also like the fact that you didn't push trhough with your attempt to abandon the community.

Fantastic modelling. I love the cauliflower ears and it looks like all the beating has dislodged his thyroid from his neck to his eyes - one too many upper cuts eh?. And his smile is classic, perhaps to show of his crowning glory, his gold tooth.

I saw a tutorial on the adaptive skin method of head modelling the other day. It does look like it gives a preliminary mesh similar to the type of meshes used in other programmes for producing heads that follow the facial musculature and are used for animation. I guess as you mention the trick will be keeping it that way.

Must give it a try :)

Madame Howizter

This was a lunch time project. Same method as the boxer. I included a PolyFrame view for those who may be interested.

I love these. Very inspiring. :tu: Nice gold tooth. Did he have to melt down his 1940 Olympic Boxing gold medal to get the gold for it? ;)

It almost looks like his nipples go knocked up on his forehead, as well. Jerry Jones had the exact same problem after his last face lift!

golly Lonnie!! Love the texturing on madame...musta took at least two hours. You can tell that you didnt doodle it up in ten minutes like I would have. ;) The king is alive :tu: :tu: :tu:

Oh...goodness gracious...no Ron. 25 minutes tops I think and maybe another 3 or 4 to render. I wasn't in a particularly detail oriented mood.

Wow Lonnie, just fantastic. Madame H. is truly something to behold. I really like the texturing and 'tude of her. Also there's something "Bride"-ish about her hair. Is she going steady with some dude with electrodes on his neck?
