This is another in my hybrid images using ZBrush and Vue d'Esprit. Since I have not been using Vue for a very long time, If I try to do something in Vue and I am having difficulty I turn to Zbrush where I have put in the milage and I am able to overcome the problem.
The background land mass and the dock were done in ZBrush the remainder in Vue. Athough I am certain that all could have been done in Vue, but it was a lot easier for me to do it this way. Thanks for viewing.

Great image, very realistic and the landmass at the back fits in perfectly.
One question: where did you do the final render?

Thanks for your comments and for viewing they are appreciated. The final render was done in Vue using the 'broadcast' setting! Vue has sketch, preview, final, broadcast, ultra, and other, at least that is what I remember.

That’s a very nice sunset scene Deevee. I use both program’s as well, but had not thought much about modelling terrains in Z, and then importing them into to Vue, my terrains in Z tend to be very rounded, with little or no cragginess. I’ve only imported models into Vue, did you import the background terrain into the terrain editor and do more work in Vue, or just take it in as an object. If there is a gain doing it your way, it might be worth giving it a try, what do you feel are the benefit's.

Thanks for all your comments , they are appreciated.
Yes, the closest program would be Bryce, although it is quite different. I use the spraybrush a lot for that kind of background work. There is no real advantage in not doing everything in Vue, It is just that I am experimenting to use the strengths of each program to produce the best image I can in the shortest period of time.

Nicely composed sunset Joe - I like the formation of the boats on the water and the colours. :tu: :tu:

(Not sure why you used ZBrush though - the distant land mass would have been simple to create in Vue.)

I know that Bill, I just wanted to be able to post it here, so anything that I can do easily in ZBrush I will do so, as it gives me an option.
