I love the umm.. swooshy effect you have around the outside of the thingemy..

What's the symbolism? my mind ends up interpretting it ruder than it actually is probably. :) Oddly enough I cant see that at all from the thumbnail, but can when its big and in my face. ummm..

Hehe, thanks mixel

Its trying to hit a feeling, simlar to how you might feel looking out of a car or a train window on a long journey (do you see the horizon and the many roads?). Its also the same feeling that I often get in Zbrush.

There are a number of subcontexts too, the most immediate glowing 'nose' -because it is also a 'mouth' - beneath the hypnotised eyes change the expression from one of sheer awe to a stern or a quizical expression (as of a bug hunter, my most recent activity).

As this is my first posted Z-brush image, the green smiley 2econdary mouth gives the impression that I - because it is also a self portrait - am peeking up over the frame to say 'hello', theres also a frightened guy with his hands visible sticking his head up above the parapet.

The passenger theme was an apt one anyway, It wasn't going to be long until I was accused of not posting anything, and I was having so much fun spectating too (dagnabbit)

Art should speak for itself? (giggle)

There are emotional references to current affairs on the forum and in the news. No matter what happens, we're just the passengers, might as well enjoy the ride.

Just as Mixel said, the swooshy around the thingemy is cool.
It's a nice effect, I would interpret it as the last milliseconds of a windscreen bound insect. :D

The swoosh is made with a textured fiberbrush on its own layer above a sphere3D. The material is toyplastic and I've increased the amount of ambient light.

Apply liberally with the Drag Rect stroke :)

You are most welcome :D

One of the things I find really AMAZING about Zbrush is that with a few simple techniques you can create a practically infinite number of effects. there are easily many more times as many of these furballs as there are grains of sand on every beach of earth.

Click on the Move transform in the transform palette with the fibrerbrush selected and you can explore all of them in real time. lighting, alpha, material, this, that, that

It really takes my breath away.
