View Full Version : Loss Of Humanity (121 Welcome)

This just started off in an experiment in importing a couple of Poser 5.0 heads into ZBrush along with their textures and setting up a good skin material and things just kept going from there.
Heads came from Poser 5.0. The eyes were done in ZBrush, however.
I've always modelled my own heads before, but I just liked the way this little experiment turned out.
For the lighting I had an overhead white shadowed sunlight coming from above and a brown glow light coming from below.
For the holes in the head I used a spherinder with ZCut on in some parts and the eraser tool in others. On another layer I placed the wires and metal spheres that were inside the head. The rest are various gear and cylinder tools using deformations in the deform pallette. The coloring in the background was done with the spray stroke.
The cables coming connecting the heads are unskinned ZSpheres.
Eyelashes were done with the fiberbrush with ZAdd off.
As usual, 121 welcome.

Really cool work... has a very painterly feel to it! The Posettes have never looked so at home! LOL. I really love the skin textures and eyes in this!
Great job,

The apotheosis of cybersex! :tu: :tu: :tu:
it's wonderful, i couldn't think of a single suggestion
I lingered over it for a while ... it's a story in itself, and I like how they seem about to kiss but are looking at the viewer kindly
I really like this.. :) Nothing you could add really.. That I can think of anyway.. I like the way you havent made it ominous.. the subject could be a bit scary, but the picture's friendly, probably because of their expressions and the lighting..
the sort of pic H.R Giger might do, but minus the gigerisms. Ie; Colorful and without surplus genitalia. Not that I have anything against.. Oh nevermind..
Interesting composition you've put together -pretty cool. Here's a quickie 121: the guy's nose bridge is a bit fine compared to the lady's. Just fatten it out. :tu:

Thinking with the left and right side of the brain. Perhaps now the man will be able to multi-task.
Very nice positive clean feel and a lovely design.
What ever became of robotic dancing?
Come on, lets klink-klank again, like we did last summer....

Heehee
Kling-klang was the name of Kraftwerk's computer/synthesizer and at one point had dummy copy heads of their own heads stuck on robot bodies. They also wrote songs called Computer Love and We are the Robots :)
Whatever the situation of these two, they look very content - perhaps it's some cosmetic pharmacy to go with the cosmetic cybernetics.
A great composition and well rendered in the bright light of future love. If there were one part that needed work I would say it is the shine on the eyes. It makes the eyes seem as if they are made of glass - then again, maybe they are ;)
It is the little things that are intriguing. Despite having so many metal and mechanical implants, the woman still likes to adorn herself with an earring.
And something that occured to me while vegging in front of Lost in Space the other evening. Despite all that futuristic technology, our offspring will still need wire. It's quite comforting, and I'm just off to buy some wire shares :D
