Hi there,I downloaded the latest update to V1.23 4 days ago and promptly sent off the details to Pixologic.
How long does it take to recieve the new official registration code?
So far 4 days in waiting.
There was no information on Pixologic's website regarding this matter.
Atleast none that I found.
I am asking here because I've never once had an e-mail reply from Pixologic concerning this matter.
Neither have I ever had any replies with regard to technical issues in any other previous communications.
Who is the best person to approach at Pixologic or are responses to customer enquiries a lottery?!
Bah Humbug So far 4 days in waiting.
'Morning Boozy Floozie . . . :)
In answer to your 1st question, at this time the staff from Pixologic are down at "Siggraph 2001 in Los Angeles", for the week. They may be monitoring ZBCentral from there, although I can't say for sure??? :qu:
For your 2nd question, "ZuZu" is the one who answers most of the types of inquiries your referring to. :)
One suggestion you might try, when you post a question for Pixologic on this forum, name your post something like - "Question For Pixologic" or "Question For ZuZu" or "Could Someone From Pixologic Please Answer This Question". Someone from Pixologic may notice this more than a generic type post title. ;)
Whatever the solution may be, please hang in there, I'm sure someone will be getting back to you ASAP. Have a good one . . . Mark.
It normally does take a few days to get your permanent serial number, even without the influence of a big event like Siggraph. Don't worry, though: You have 30 days on your temporary password, and they will get your permanent one to you in time. There is absolutely zero loss of functionality in the program with the temp password, so it truly doesn't make a difference whether they get the permanent registration to you within minutes, hours, days, or even a couple of weeks.
It may seem a little strange to you that it takes this long, but remember that Pixologic is a very small company. They aren't Corel. This may be a bit inconvenient at times, since we live in a world of expecting things to happen instantly, but it is more than made up for by the fact that the Pixologic staff also takes a very hands-on and personal approach to customer service. They're great people to work with.

boozy floozie, it's been 2 weeks and an upgrade to 1.23b for me and I've yet to receive my permanent number. I've been in contact with several people at Pixologic and I'm told that now that the 1.23b upgrade has been released everybody should be receiving their permanent numbers...everybody who hasn't already received one that is. I sure hope so because time is running out for me. I've still got 2 weeks left but time flies as, you know. I'd hate to be without my ZBrush for very long. :)

Many thanks one and all for your quick response to my question.
I suppose what was bothering me a wee bit was the uncertainty of recieving the registration update.
Usually an automated resonse is returned to an e-mail submission in such matters informing you that your submission has been logged.
It would have been nice to know all this before I proceeded with the update download.
I just assumed that my original registration key with my first purchase of V1.13 would have worked for the update.
At the end of the day I also thought it was important for other registered users who like me may have been in the dark.
I'm like a war bride watching the mailbox.
By the way, I got my permanent registration code a few days ago. They are definitely on the way, probably in the order that the requests were received. Hang in there! :)

Hey boozie. I thought you you were a pass in the night demo-tryer. Good to know you have the full thing! I was wondering where you dissapeared to! How are you managing? Do you need a hand?
Please don't make yourself a stranger!
Hope to see you around more often.
