I decided to try an animal this time. This is probably my biggest 3D/2.5D image to date. After learning more about details with 2D, I wanted to do a 3D with much more detail. Hope you all enjoy it...

The water really looks like it's moving in this picture Tag. Good shading on the bear.

quote:
Ironically, I've been modelling a bear the last couple of days for my next project, but it's no where near as cute as this one

You must be kidding! These bears are excellent, and that baby is cuter than anything I've seen. This is so well done, I don't even know what to say. Nice work. :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu: (That's 10, in case you don't feel like counting) Brian :D

Thank you all for your comments. This was fun and different doing animals. To get the details there were 5 different rocks, 2 driftwood, and 6 different types of foliage. The water was a plane that I transform/moved with a noise setting to push and pull it into shape.

Here's a close up of the bears with texturing in texture master. I'm thinking about doing a series of animals after this one.

Living in the Pacific Northwest, in particular, British Columbia, this sort of stuff goes on all the time, and so I had a kind of visceral response to this...It's a regular part of life here after all...But you managed to make it even a little more magical than the real thing in a way. There's a soft, fairy-tale feel to it as well as a depiction of a natural reality...
Nice one Tami! :)
