I know, I said I wouldn't be back til the weekend but you all know how it is with ZBrush. Burnin' the midnight oil again. Anyway I was playing around with textures tonight and I don't know if it's already been said and done somewhere or not so I thought I'd just show you a quick way to get those cool lined eyeballs and a lot of different effects depending on the texture you use.

The above image just shows some of the different textures I used and the effects they created. It's really simple. Import your texture or create one in ZBrush and apply it to a Sphere3D with the ToyPlastic material. Set the horizontal and vertical tiling of the texture to anything more than 1. I generally use 5 or greater. Then add your pupil and your set to go.

You can use the GelShader material for a totally different effect. Changing the opacity settings for the GelShader material gives some interesting effects also.
Anyway, just thought I'd share a quick and easy way to get that detail without all the line work. ;) And if it's all been said and done before, I apologize for the repeat.
