If you're all nice little boys and girls--and put your computers under your pillow--the serial number fairy will come in the night and take your serial numbers away and leave a nice e mail address in it's place--neat huh ??

Yeah, my serial number just went up in smoke... just a spiffy bit of programming and foresight that is.
Ah well, as long as they put the smoke back in the machine...
That toothless, gummer, made it's way to Ohio. Brilliant programming! Impresses the heck out of me.

Yup....I had JUST gotten a new serial number and ZuZu had sent me my "permanent" User Licensce number and now it's asking for a temp serial number again!!!
I must have gotten lucky...I was asked for my temp number again, even though I, too, just got a permanent number. I re-entered my original temp number and I got in just fine.
;x, Sniff sniff, I wasnt a good girl! More like an old lady who "some how" goes from step 1 to step 3!!Smacks head.... poor Verna!

LOL Robotalk! :)
I too, got a visit from the serial number fairy this morning. :) Up up and running now in the mean time using my temp serial number, but I still have to send in for my permanent one.

I have a compound problem --the URL page says your E Mail address must match the one you bought the program with-(but if you've changed your address)--AND if a "robot" is sending you you new temp number--it will then go to that OLD defunct address automatically--please tell me SOMEONE reads the comment box...it's been that hour..and nuttin --originally.. the last time this happened I had my number in minutes...hmm --done in by my own picture :D :D :D

LOL proud reader of the comment box :), I just seem to have a problem with the number 2 ;x. I use aol and the last time it took more then the time stated .. I got worried and E-mailed Verna It was in fact received :). But When you deal with people such as myself :X, I allow for extra time.
In your case I would send her an E-mail stating your address change In case an original mail isnt returned by the mail demon OOOOOo you ever see him now he is scary lol

FLASH---if you like me followed the rules----it wont work--If you changed your email--use it--I used my current address in my 2nd try and I got my temp # in seconds...my 'bought with' address is hovering in limbo!

Well, I've had Z since July of 2001, and I have been watching all this with a sense of foreboding...I have to say that, including today with the time change, I have yet to have a single problem with the software, with the exception of a 2 hour thingy which I think happened last September...
Weird...
Oh and BTW RoBo, one funny way to bring the subject up!!!
:tu: :tu: :tu:  :D :D :D

Another one on the nail Robo, right on the nail. My only problem is that my program sometimes closes down for no reason, but I think I found out what the culprit was, and it is NOT the program !
how can they call it a (permanet serial number)
when Daylight Savings Time can take it away?.
what if some one desided not to be connected to the internet anymore would they have to send a letter to them for there number and wait 4 to 6 weeks.
hey wonder if you set your clock ahead 40 years what would happen... :D
I've found the answer folks, its the Serial Number Fairy Swatter. It can be bought at www.snfswatters.swotit, (http://www.snfswatters.swotit,) it's very effective at only £1.50 and can get two fairys with one swipe.
Great images Robo and good theme. :D :tu: :tu: :tu: http://www2.zbrushcentral.com/zbc_uploads/user_image-1018220989fts.jpg

Thanks for sharing all the serial number escapades--and Dave that is a GREAT fairy AND FUNNY :D :D :D Idea --but rather than swatting the fairy with your swatter--we just bat her back and forth gently til the PERMANENT number falls out :D
