Hey y'all,

Been doing some ZBrushin' with the Z2 and I think I'm getting a grip on it.

Took me some time to make this one, but I'm pretty happy with the endresult. This third pic is a combined 'showposter'. I'm about to make a big print of the pic so do tell me which one of the two you like best :D (or if you don't like something about them and have a better sugestion)

Anyway the actual pic is 'kingsize' (for good detail on the print, you know) and too big to put on the site, so I guess these are the small versions :p .

Hope you like them, tell me what ya think

By the way, this guy is not even a million polygons, thanx to partial subdivision, just had to mask inverse and subdivide the part that was bout to have more detail. Saved me a lot of trouble with long loading and rendering periods ( eventhough I have a pretty fast computer) ;)

I like the top one better.

Only thing I would suggest is you have the fog but the lighting seems to undramatic for it....a bit different lighting I think would make it better otherwise I am durn jealous I havent got this far yet. ;)

Great start and congratulations on managing a complete picture. The individual elements come together well.

For feedback:
-From a compositional point of view it looks like you designed the picture for the second layout with the close-ups of the sword. If you end up going with the first picture above, it has a lot of empty space on the right hand side. You might be able to balance it better by increasing the length of the sword, perhaps so it's tip and the samurai's line of sight converge.

-There's a wee anatomy problem with the samurai's right foot (on the left of the picture). It is a little twisted at the ankle and should be pointing the other way (towards the bottom left corner).

Keep up the hard work :tu:

Thanx for helping me make up my mind aminuts :D . And thank you Bonecradle, for mentioning the foot 'couse I was wondering if I actually should change it (I could ofcourse always say that it's very flexible :p , but more people who also have seen this picture mentioned the foot and it is indeed a bit too twisted).
And thanx to the rest of you guys for your replies: it's always nice to hear some compliments :D.(But any comments of course are always welcome)

So I guess this is what my final image is going to look like, check it out :)
