Out of Reach

While waiting for all the new tools and stuff on Monday, I decided to practice a bit more 2D stuff. It was done with flat color, rgb only.
This is based on a small beach about 45 minutes or so away from here. The beach now has houses built on the cliffs above it, and is blocked off, so this is done from memory of one of my favorite spots.

The only aspect that I feel could do with a little more work is the extreme foreground at the bottom of the picture. The thin film of water on the beach after the breaking surf looks slightly flat and unconvincing. I might be wrong, but I also don't think it would reflect that much blue. Perhaps a slightly darker shade of the sand colour with a few lighter or darker ripple effects and/or tiny bubbles would work better. Not sure.

But that really is nit-picking about a relatively unimportant aspect of the detail. The image as a whole is really good work. :tu: :) :tu:
