I've been messing around with Pixolator's ColorizedTriShader and QuadShader for creating skin materials (I'll post some samples soon), and had a quick question, for anyone that knows: how do the multiple shader channels interact with each other? Are they additive? For instance, If I set S2's Diffuse slider to 20, and S3's diffuse slider to 25, does my shader (as a whole) effectively have a Diffuse setting of 45?
This seems to be how it works, based on my experiments, but I'd like to know for sure...

Did you ever find an answer for this? I've been looking all over and haven't turned up an answer....

Hi Felderin,

Material info is kinda scarce at the moment, however all is not lost. First check out the 1.55b Manual for whatever info is there to glean from....its really all we got, except for the multitude of posts from those who experimented before us.

Next....download ZMats from svengali. It's a great little utility that will allow you to store a base material, tweak and save the new incarnation. You also ahve the freedom to save different light setups for that material or even add color, as well as tweeking how that material interacts with your texture.
