View Full Version : Getting lippy......* added Step by step*
Well I guess you're all getting sick of these posts by now so here's the last one for a while. http://www2.zbrushcentral.com/zbc_uploads/user_image-1020772794wcl.jpg
Hope you've liked the series, i'm going to start something new with the skills i've aquired doing them. :D
I'm being very sincere when I say if I had the full version I'd post all of the objects for people to use and abuse as they saw fit.
If anyone is interested i'll redo them when I get the full version (I'm saving my pennies now!) in the near future.
I'm not getting sick of your posts!
Nice chin. Masculine and thoughtful. :tu:

Lips are my biggest problem in ZBrush. This is very useful to me, Thanks!
Here's a quick step by step....
http://www2.zbrushcentral.com/zbc_uploads/user_image-1020782933nfb.jpg
1 Start with a basic sphere (256 HDivide 128 VDivide) set X symmetry on and in edit mode draw the basic shape with a brush size of about 15 and Z intensity of about 6.
2 Using a bigger brush and a Zintensity of 2 bring out the surrounding facial area to level out the 'Jagger-ness'(!) of the lips. Add with a small brush, some definition to the top lips and some more bulk to the bottom one.
3 Use the move transform with a brush size of about 15 to pull the edges of the mouth out to the sides a bit and to push the bottom lip up towards the top slightly (a lot of playing around is required for this step).
4 Apply the basic material and adjust the following settings:
Specular - 6 ish
Noise - 1.8 ish
Noise Radius - 6 ish
Colour Bump - 1.5 ish
5 Fire up texture master, i'm assuming the default pallate is the fleshtone one.
Colour the model with the mid fleshtone, up the red component and colour the lips using a small brush with a low RGB intensity so it doesn't look like lipstick!
With the dotty brush shown use downward strokes with a darker colour to create some texture on the lips.
Using the 'stained glass ball' brush shown gives a nice mottled texture on the skin if you paint over with a low RGB intensity.
Well thats about it, I hope this was of some help Houdini and anyone else. :D
