Ok so he's not dancing, I modelled a body for him but lost it as my damn computer crashed, so i decided to just make do with a head study. Got a early backup body but too much work was lost and too little deadline time is left.

The 'Dancing' Bear ;)

Made from a deformed sphere in Zbrush, used the fibre brush on him although it's hard to tell, and did touch ups in photoshop. Next image will be the illusionist. :)

Edit- I'll be posting some early bear versions soon on this thread so you can see the stages I went through to get to the final image. :)

I think that this is the first of the series that I have seen and I am very impressed, I think I'll have to go back through the old posts and find the rest, How many are there ?

i must say i too am very impressed,.. however i would add a little more detail to the hair and the scene..also if i wanted to show depth im my images i use depth cue in the render panel and not the blur brush..just a tip..

Thanks for the critique Dr, Your right about the blur brush, when I posted the image I noticed the bad blurring at the top of the bears head, why on earth am I blurring my image by hand!!, keep forgetting about using the depth button thats why!.
Your also right the image does need more fur detail, I lost loads from the grain filter I applied in photoshop. Don't really have the time to polish the pic though, spent too long on it as it is, besides the images are going to be quite small anyway, there going to be dropped into circular vignettes centred on 12cm by 7cm cards, and will hopefully look like mini circus posters with surrounding text. If I can squeeze some time in I may add the body yet. :)

Fantastic as usual! You managed to capture the
pain and despair in the bear's eyes. Bears were not put on this earth to dance for our amusement. Powerful and subtle. Got me right in the heart-strings. :tu: :tu:
