- HI again! - Had few hours of spare time yesterday - i wanted to test bones based animation with displacement mapped character - I used the same mesh as in previous test
- I built facial animation setup with standard bones - i setup the systym so, that i only have to animate dummy objects, and neck while doing animation - bones are constrained to these dummies. - Nothing original in setup - Max animation folder has AVI with similar bone setup, and Taron had similar setups in messiah studio demo videos couple of years ago... :) - i have only done morph based facial animation earlier, so i wanted to try bones setup too :)
- After wasting time on clicking constraint menu buttons zillion times, i added skin modifier to mesh, and tuned first the envelopes, and then weighted promblem areas - i didn't do any correction morphs, just wanted to test bones animation
- Nothing to say about actual animation - just keyframed dummies, and did simple test animation - sorry for animation quality - i wish i had time to do proper animation :)
- Model and displacement of course done in Zbrush :)

Snapshots from animation setup AVI:

- Sorry for quality, i don't have tools to create better DivX!
P.S.
Small walkthrough of process in image. Nothing special in it, you could probably replace the displace modifier with 3rd party modifier / map (Vray displacement?)
