I woke up this morning to find that my hubby bought me a dual PIII 733 processors and new motherboard...(yeah, I'm a brat)last night.

I couldn't find this question/answer in FAQ, but will Z take advantage of this situation?

I'm thinking yes.

Using NT or Windows 2000, it should take care of it automatically, I think... Windows 9x/ME you're out of luck.

To use dual cpu's you must have NT4, or win2000. I rec win2000

esp if your bios supports overclocking, but move up slowly and carefully.

PS6 can fly with dual cpu's, but I don't know abot ZB?

Well, I'm running Win2000Pro so that's cool.

WinME....*sniff* What the heck was that version about?!?!?!?!?!? :td:

I'll let you guys know how it goes once I'm up and running...

I think I need to rephrase my question cause I'm not getting the answer I need.

Is ZBrush devolped for multiprocessor or multithreaded operation like 3D Studio Max?

I appreciate everyone's input, I think I just didn't ask the question right. My bad.

Hi Kathy,

Previous versions of ZBrush were fully multi-threaded. Unfortunatly, some users who were using single-cpu machines were experiencing some system conflicts (Win 95/98/2000 Max 8.x 9.x). In order to reduce the chances of system conflicts, the multithread has been temporarily turned off.

The multi-threading capability is likely to be activated in a future release of ZBrush. :)

AhHA!

Thanks ZuZu. That's exactly what I wanted to know...guess I'll go get some more RAM to throw on top of this and wait for you guys to turn the multi threading back on...
(PLEASE, with sugar on top!!!)

Maybe he's the computer-fairy, who flies into your room when asleep, and leaves Pentiums under your pillow?

Could you talk him into throwing a computer my way?
Say it's for the orphans overseas or something like that. I'll pass on my address.
:D :D

(no harm trying)
Upham.

Wolf, go to this part of her site..Kathy's Ztools (http://www.visionized.com/downloads/objects.htm) , a site she previously posted, and you can back through it to get to her home page, maybe, as long as you've been there before and haven't deleted all your temporary internet files and offline content.
Kathy, I tried going directly to your home page as well, and couldn't get there either. Something must be up. :qu:

Hmmmmmmmmm
I get right there (of course I deleted my IE temp folder before trying) I asked a few friends to try, and they were successful too.

are you adding any unnecesary extensions?

I can't seem to reproduce your problem from my end.

Kathy, this is wierd! If I go to your profile and click on your website link there, no go. If I click on the link in the above post, no problem.

HA!

I went into my profile and realized I typed:

htp://

DOI! I fixed the typo, so it should work.

I'm notorious for that mistake....sorry for the hassle.
